| I have been working on a series of glass sculptures over many years which I call Spirit Houses. These pieces are inspired by the household shrines that serve a variety of purposes in the different cultures that use them to make offerings to ancestors or provide protection from evil. As glass sculptures the Spirit House provides a stage to create images within an interior space which is separated from the outside world. I am interested in how light passing through the glass can dramatically highlight the images within. | ||
